Do I have to be admitted to Southeastern before applying for financial aid?

Modified on Mon, 15 Sep at 9:05 AM

No! The applications for financial aid and admittance to Southeastern are separate processes, so you do not need to be admitted into Judson College or Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary to apply for financial aid.

Southeastern has a priority application process for financial aid, and students should apply for institutional financial aid as soon as possible for the best consideration.

The priority application deadline for the Spring 2026 semester is October 22nd 2025, and award notifications will be sent out in the following months.

The Scholarship Committee will continue to evaluate applications after the priority deadline and may make future awards based on available funding.

Please note: Undergraduate students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) for their institutional application to be complete. Students without a FAFSA® on file will not be considered for institutional aid. This policy does not apply to international students. For more information, please see our article: Who needs to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®)?

External scholarships have their own deadlines and requirements. We encourage you to research opportunities for which you are eligible to know what dates you should be aware of.
