Who needs to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®)?

Modified on Fri, 26 May, 2023 at 2:45 PM

ALL undergraduate students at the College at Southeastern need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®)!

Completing the FAFSA® will help to determine if a student is eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and the North Carolina Need Based Scholarship. It is quite possible that a student could receive both!

Also, we require all undergraduate students to complete the FAFSA® if they would like to receive any institutional financial aid or take out any private loans. If a student does not complete the FAFSA®, they are not eligible to receive any institutional financial aid or take out any private loans.

This policy does not apply to international students.

Graduate and Advanced degree students do not need to complete the FAFSA®, as Southeastern does not participate in any Title IV programs for Graduate and Advanced degree students.

If you wish to request an exemption to this policy, please contact the financial aid office at financialaid@sebts.edu.
