Where is my scholarship or grant?

When you are awarded a scholarship at Southeastern, your Financial Aid will go on a three-part journey.

Awarding

After you are initially awarded a scholarship, our office will process the award. The initial award process involves checking your Self-Service page to complete your Financial Aid Checklist. This involves submitting a Thank You Letter, reviewing and accepting your Award Package, and reviewing and signing your Offer Letter.

Anticipated Aid

Once your award has been processed and your checklist completed, it will be added to your student account as "Anticipated Aid." At this point, it will show on your student account and will be taken into consideration for determining your account balance. However, it has not been finalized and can change if the eligibility requirements for the scholarship are not met.

Disbursed Aid

After the drop date, our office confirms your financial aid by checking to make sure you are meeting the eligibility requirements of your scholarships. If you are not meeting the requirements, the aid will be reduced or removed.

Additionally, if your institutional financial aid exceeds your tuition and fees balance, the award(s) will be reduced accordingly (see Why did my financial aid change?). Once we are finished confirming eligibility, the aid will be disbursed to your account. At this point, the aid will normally remain unchanged, unless you withdraw from classes (see What happens if I add, drop, or withdraw from a class?) or your eligibility changes for other reasons.
