Can institutional scholarships be used for housing and other expenses?

Institutional scholarships (scholarships awarded by Southeastern) are meant to be used for tuition and academic fees and cannot be used for other expenses. Any awards that exceed the student's tuition and academic fees will be reduced. This is known as being overfunded.

The following fees are considered "academic fees" and can be covered by institutional scholarships:

  • Student Enrollment Fee
  • Online Course Fee
  • Counseling Supervision fee

Institutional scholarships cannot be used for any other fee.
