Keesee Educational Fund Grant - Judson College Students

This document contains the basic information for the Undergraduate Keesee Grant. This is not a full list of all the requirements for the Keesee Grant, only a list of the basic highlights. If you have any questions, please contact the Financial Aid Office at financialaid@sebts.edu.

Below are the basic eligibility requirements for the Keesee Grant:

Residency

• Students from Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, or Tennessee may be eligible for the Keesee Grant
• Students must have been a resident of one of the states listed above for a full 12 months prior to beginning a degree at any institution in order to be eligible
• Students cannot establish residency while being a student, either at Southeastern or at another institution

Academic

• Students must be a Junior or Senior at Judson College
• Students must be enrolled in an eligible degree program in order to be eligible for the Keesee Grant. These are typically degrees related to ministry
• Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (new students with a 0.0 GPA are also eligible)

Enrollment

• Students must have a minimum enrollment of half-time (6 credit hours for Undergraduate students)
• Only courses within a Keesee eligible degree program will count towards eligible enrollment
• Students must be enrolled in at least two “Qualifying Class” per semester
  1. The following course types are considered Qualifying Classes: on campus, hybrid, equip, practicum, extension center, intensive

• Grants are not available for students enrolled solely in online classes.

Church Membership

• You must be a member of a Baptist church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Southern Baptist Convention of Virginia, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Baptist General Association of Virginia, a state or national Baptist Convention or Original Free Will Baptist

5-Year Programs

• Students in a 5-year program should not apply for the undergraduate Keesee grant until they are in their Junior or Senior year and must apply for the Graduate Keesee Grant once they are in their final year of their program
• It is important for you to understand what courses are eligible for the degree that you are currently working on. Only courses counting toward the undergraduate portion of your degree program count toward eligibility for the Judson College Keesee Grant

• Fall/Spring Academic Year Grant Deadline - May 1st
