Students serving as active personnel for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) may be eligible to receive a scholarship covering 30% (Advanced degree) or 50% (Undergraduate and Graduate degrees) of their tuition and fees.
Eligibility
The student must be a full-time NAMB missionary/personnel, fully funded by NAMB and currently serving on a field assignment.
Chaplains who are endorsed directly by NAMB are eligible to receive the Active NAMB Scholarship. Endorsed chaplains and missionaries serving through their state convention or church are not eligible for the Active NAMB scholarship.
Eligible students who are beginning an advanced degree at Southeastern are eligible to have 50% of the Program Entry Fee refunded to their student account.
Additional Requirements:
- If the student receives other internal or external scholarships, the Active NAMB scholarship will be reduced to cover 30% or 50% of the tuition and fees.
- Recipients must be degree-seeking undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral students.
- If the student loses employment status with the NAMB, he or she will no longer be eligible for the scholarship in subsequent semesters.
- Students who wish to pursue multiple master’s degrees will only be eligible to receive the Active NAMB Scholarship for classes taken to complete their first master’s degree at Southeastern.
- Likewise, students who wish to pursue multiple advanced degrees will only be eligible to receive the Active NAMB Scholarship for classes taken to complete their first advanced degree at Southeastern.
Applying:
Students must re-apply for the scholarship each academic year (Fall-Summer). The application opens the second Wednesday of June and we will begin verifying applications at the beginning of July.
The current application can be found on the Missions Scholarship page of the Financial Aid website.
